About me

Jasmin Shah, 33, has worked professionally as a photographer for over nine years. After graduating with a journalism degree in 1999 from the University of Montana, Shah helped document life in Chicago for CITY2000, a documentary project that aimed to show life in Chicago In The Year 2000. She then moved overseas, where she taught English and photographed in Spain and Japan. Shah now freelances for clients such as The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Red Eye, HSBC, Coca-Cola, PR Newswire and the University of Chicago. She has also traveled four times in the past three years to India, where she has shot stories of her own and for the Chicago Tribune and most recently volunteered with Operation Smile and documented a mission in Andhra Pradesh.
