Strange part about me being a photographer? Stillness isn’t my thing. I really, really don’t sit still well.
I’m a fidgety, wanderlusty woman who's spent years following my own restless sense of adventure—by boat, by plane, by rickshaw, or by trusty 1968 Schwinn tandem—and seeing what’s worth photographing when I get there. Which happens to be pretty much everything and everyone.
Luckily I’ve found wonderful, worthwhile clients and subjects that take me all over the world (like Operation Smile, with whom I’ve worked in Colombia, Ethiopia, Vietnam, India, and more) or that count on me to capture the adventurous spirit of others (like the Comer Family Foundation here in Chicago).
I’m Jasmin Shah, a Wisconsin native living in Chicago. I like cycling and soccer, craft beer and making popsicles. No telling where I’ll be when you read this (a good bet is the beach, but I always come back). I’d love to work together, so shoot me a note!
